Jonathan Coley is a church planter with the North American Mission Board, serving the communities of southern Ohio, and its surrounding areas. He currently serves as pastor, alongside Tom Leach, where he is devoted to reaching the lost, strengthening new believers, and building a Christ-centered community rooted in Scripture and love.
Jonathan accepted Christ at the age of seventeen and answered the call to ministry at twenty. His passion for understanding the world God created led him to study a wide range of subjects, including theology, world religions, psychology, philosophy, and more. These studies deepened his desire not only to proclaim the gospel but also to walk with people as they grow in their faith.
His devotional writing was born from a need he saw in his own church and community, particularly among new believers who did not grow up in church and longed for clear guidance in their spiritual journey. Jonathan’s heart is to help others grow deeper with God by affirming foundational biblical truths, strengthening their grasp of Scripture, and offering practical tools for spiritual formation and discipleship.
Evangelism is the heartbeat of Jonathan’s life. He believes in sharing Jesus with everyone he encounters but also recognizes that true discipleship goes beyond the initial moment of salvation. People need someone willing to walk alongside them, lift burdens, and guide them closer to Christ. Jonathan strives to be salt and light in a way that helps people see the hope, strength, and grace found only in Jesus.
Jonathan serves in ministry alongside his family, who remains his greatest earthly support. His wife, his constant encourager and steadfast partner, stands beside him in every season of ministry.
Through his ministry, writing, and daily life, Jonathan Coley is committed to pointing people to the transformative love of Christ and helping believers take their next steps on the path of spiritual growth.
