WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, completely true, trustworthy, and our ultimate authority for faith and life. It reveals God’s character, His plan for salvation, and how we should live. Every part of Scripture points us to Jesus.
God
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, yet there is only one God.
God the Father lovingly rules over all creation and adopts us as His children through faith in Jesus.
God the Son (Jesus Christ) is eternally God. He became human, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and now reigns as Lord.
God the Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts us of sin, leads us to Jesus, empowers us to live for God, and gives us spiritual gifts to serve the church.
Humanity
We believe every person is created in God’s image with inherent dignity and worth. But through sin, humanity became separated from God. Every person needs salvation, which is only found in Jesus Christ.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift from God that can’t be earned. When we trust Jesus as Lord and Savior, God forgives our sins, gives us new life, and promises us eternal life with Him. This includes:
- Regeneration (being born again)
- Justification (declared righteous before God)
- Sanctification (growing to be more like Jesus)
- Glorification (one day perfected in heaven)
Once saved, believers are secure in Christ and will persevere to the end by His grace.
The Church
We believe the church is a local community of baptized believers united by faith in Jesus. We gather to worship, grow, serve, and spread the Gospel. Each church is:
- Autonomous (self-governing under Christ’s authority)
- Democratic (every member has a voice)
- Led by pastors and deacons (the office of pastor is reserved for qualified men, as Scripture teaches)
The church exists to glorify God and make disciples of all nations.
Baptism & Communion
Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, symbolizing their faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, and their commitment to walk in new life.
Communion (The Lord’s Supper) is a sacred act where we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and look forward to His return.
Our Mission
We believe every Christian is called to share the Gospel and make disciples. Through our words, our lives, and our service, we seek to lead people to faith in Jesus Christ and help them grow in their relationship with Him.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus will return personally and visibly. When He does, the dead will be raised, and all people will stand before Him in judgment. Those who trust in Christ will live forever with Him in Heaven. Those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God in Hell.
Marriage & Family
We believe God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Husbands and wives are equal in worth before God but have distinct, complementary roles. Parents are called to raise their children in the faith, teaching them God’s ways.
We affirm that all human life is sacred from conception to natural death.
Religious Liberty
We believe in the separation of church and state. The government should protect religious freedom, and the church should operate freely without state control. A free church in a free state honors God’s design.
Christian Living
We believe Christians are called to reflect Christ in every area of life, including how we treat others, how we use our resources, and how we engage with society. We stand for justice, oppose all forms of evil (including racism, greed, sexual immorality, and abortion), and care for the vulnerable.
Stewardship
We believe everything we have belongs to God. Our time, talents, and resources are gifts from Him, and we’re called to use them faithfully for His glory and the good of others.
